MOSCOW (Sputnik) Poland will resume this week the work of the commission investigating the 2010 fatal crash of then-President Lech Kaczynski's plane in Russia, the Polish Defense Ministry spokesman said.

"I give 99 percent that the defense minister will convene the commission this week," Bartlomiej Misiewicz told local TVP broadcaster.

According to Misiewicz, the commission will start the investigation from the very beginning — from the moment of Tu-154M renovation till the moment of the crash of the aircraft. The commission will include both Polish and foreign experts.

The Russia-made Tu-154M passenger plane carrying Kaczynski, his wife and a number of Polish high-ranking officials crashed in heavy fog as it attempted to land at an airfield near Smolensk, Russia, on April 10, 2010. None of the 96 people aboard the plane survived.

Several versions, including inadequate preparation for the flight and bomb explosion were explored during an almost five-year-long joint investigation by Poland and Russia.

According to the report provided earlier by the Polish commission, pilots' mistaken actions could led to the tragedy.
