BALI (Sputnik) – The quake struck at a depth of over 135 kilometers (83 miles) about 142 miles northwest of Saumlaki at 23:19 GMT on Friday, USGS said.
A representative of the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) told RIA Novosti that the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.0.
There were no immediate reports of damages or casualties.
Indonesia is located in the so-called Ring of Fire quake zone, where a large number of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur.
