Monkeys are probably immune to the novel coronavirus, or just don't want the horrible virus to ruin a party, where they can enjoy live performances, the abundance of Thai treaties and a good company of their own kind.

Thousands of monkey-like species are flocking in the Thai city of Lopburi, where Monkey Buffet Festival is held on Sunday, despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event traditionally takes place at old Khmer ruins on the last Sunday of November, with a feast organised for the monkeys, and attracts thousands of tourists annually.
