WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Sixty-nine percent believe it goes too far to force him and his family to sell their business empire to avoid conflicts of interest, according to the poll.
Bloomberg's first national poll since the November 8 presidential election also found that 51 percent of those surveyed believe Trump will prioritize national interests over his family's business affairs when dealing with foreign leaders.
Trump made a vague pledge on Twitter to distance himself from his businesses to avoid the appearance of a conflict, but said his children will remain in charge of business operations.
