There’s been much talk coming from the US side that the Pentagon might be contemplating a strike on the Syrian Arab Army in retaliation for it and the Russians’ recent anti-terrorist advancements around Aleppo. It’s not known whether this prospective attack might be done with fighter jets or cruise missiles, but either way, Russia isn’t taking any chances, and the S-300 is more than capable of shooting down both if the decision was made.
With the stakes spiking in Syria and the situation dramatically spiraling out of control, it’s up to the US whether this war gets even worse.
To discuss the issue in more detail we were joined by Fedor Voitolovsky, Deputy Director of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations, Russian Academy of Science(studio guest); Anton Fedyashin, Professor of History, American University, Washington DC; and Eugeniy Buzhinsky, Chairman of Board, PIR-Center, lieutenant-general retired.
