On Wednesday, UEFA said it had opened a disciplinary case against the Russian football club over the incident. The case is due to be considered by the UEFA Control Ethics and Disciplinary Body on March 17.
"The Lokomotiv leadership has been so disappointed with the incident in Istanbul that it has taken extreme measures and imposed record sanctions in the club's history," the source told R-Sport.
"Some 300,000 euros will be deducted from Tarasov's salary as well as all bonuses that he could get in February," the source said.
