Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Sunday that experts from Tehran and the P5+1 counties are to meet in Austria's capital Vienna on October 22-23 to discuss the Islamic Republic's nuclear program.

MOSCOW, October 19 (RIA Novosti) - Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Sunday that experts from Tehran and the P5+1 counties are to meet in Austria's capital Vienna on October 22-23 to discuss the Islamic Republic's nuclear program.

According to Iranian media reports, Araghchi stated that the issue of extending a deadline for signing a comprehensive agreement on Iran's nuclear program, which is set for November 24, is not on the agenda.

Thursday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that the P5+1 group and Iranian experts plan to meet next week in Vienna to work on the details of Tehran's nuclear program agreement.

The West has long been concerned with Iran's nuclear activities, accusing Tehran of developing nuclear weapons under the guise of a civilian nuclear program, however, the claims have been repeatedly denied by Iranian authorities.

At a meeting in November 2013 in Geneva, Iran and the P5+1 group, comprising Russia, China, France, the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany, agreed to reach a long-term nuclear agreement on Iran by July 2014 but the deadline was later postponed to November 24, 2014.
