Cameron: UK Needs to Make Sure Iraq’s Gov’t Supports Shia, Sunni, Kurds

MOSCOW, September 26 (RIA Novosti) – The United Kingdom needs to make sure that the Iraqi government promotes unity among the Shia, Sunni, and Kurds, British Prime Minister David Cameron told parliament Friday.

"We need to make sure the government in Iraq is not only supporting the Shia community but bringing together Shia, Sunni and Kurds," Cameron told British MPs who are now debating whether or not to authorize airstrikes against Islamic State (IS) positions in Iraq.
