MOSCOW, September 23 (RIA Novosti) – European Ombudsman Emily O'Reilly said the European Commission must revise its "revolving door cases" thoroughly, The EU Observer reported Tuesday.
O'Reily demanded the European Commission to make its review process on "revolving doors" cases – situations in which high-level employees switch jobs from the public sector to the private sector or vice versa – more robust, as this practice could lead to forms of political corruption, EU Observer reported.
The ombudsman also reportedly asked the European Commission to make public all relevant information, including the names of high-profile EU officials who retired to work elsewhere.
