LUHANSK, September 14 (RIA Novosti) - Self-proclaimed People's Republic of Luhansk (LPR) is ready to let international and Ukrainian humanitarian convoys into the republic's territory as well as through it, said the Prime Minister of the LPR Igor Plotnitsky on Sunday.
"The authorities of the LPR confirm readiness to let both international and Ukrainian humanitarian convoys under the auspices of the Red Cross, into and through the territory of the republic," Plotnitsky said.
On Saturday, Russian humanitarian convoy has brought drinking water, canned foods, sugar and cereals to Luhansk. The LPR's authorities said that the delivery of Russian aid to population will begin on Monday.
Ukraine's southeastern regions are currently in a state of humanitarian catastrophe, with residents struggling without water, power and basic necessities.
