MEXICO, September 11 (RIA Novosti) - Colombian authorities have arrested a person, who posed as the Lebanese ambassador to Colombia for six months, local media report on Thursday.
According to the reports, Jeyson Jahir Puello had fake IDS on the name of the Lebanese ambassador and an accreditation from the Colombia"s Foreign Ministry. He attended public events and even gave speeches and interviews.
Deception was exposed when the flawless Spanish of the con artist, who had absolutely no foreign accent, caught the attention of one of the high-ranking military officials. The official has contacted the embassy of Lebanon where he found out that Jeyson Jahir Puello was never employed by the Lebanese government.
