The crisis in Ukraine signals that the rebirth of Nazism could pose a real threat for the future Europe, a survey called the White Book of Nazism revealed on Wednesday.

MOSCOW, September 10 (RIA Novosti) – The crisis in Ukraine signals that the rebirth of Nazism could pose a real threat for the future Europe, a survey called the White Book of Nazism revealed on Wednesday.

“The renaissance of Nazism is a rather possible and imminent reality of the future Europe,” the White Book distributed at the International Information Agency Rossiya Segodnya press conference says.

“In an effort to prevent the rebirth of the man-hateful ideology and practice 70 years after the end of the war it is necessary to acknowledge that there is such a threat and introduce a common system of measures aimed against the influence of radicals on the power and also ensure against its use for international policy goals what is currently seen in the Ukrainian crisis,” the survey says.

Scientists warn that attempts to create nationalist states in post-Soviet countries, including Ukraine, could aggravate the crisis in Europe. International organizations and world powers should assess the modern challenges related to the influence of radical nationalism on the public and the government, the survey reads.

The White Book of Nazism is a fundamental study of radical nationalism in modern Europe. The scientists carried out a comprehensive analysis of xenophobia, neo-Nazism, radical nationalism and extremism.

The scientists studied the legal basis, judicial practice, political programs and the activity of national-radicals and anti-fascist organizations. The work was carried out in 19 European countries, including Ukraine, Moldova and Russia.

Russia has repeatedly blamed the political crisis in Ukraine on violent rhetoric by ultranationalists and neo-Nazis, who rose to political prominence as a result of a coup in February that overthrew former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.

The growing political influence of neo-Nazis and ultranationalists in Ukraine has raised concerns among the country’s Russian speakers and other national minorities, prompting several eastern and southeastern regions to demand greater autonomy.
