MOSCOW, August 27 (RIA Novosti) -On Wednesday participants in Russian youth forum Seliger held a rally in support of International Information Agency Rossiya Segodnya journalist Andrei Stenin, who went missing in Ukraine on August 5.

“Andrei Stenin has not been found yet and there is information that he is being held by the Ukrainian Security Services. His family is very worried, he is very much awaited,” said one of the forum’s participants during the visit of Dmitry Kiselev, the Director General of Rossiya Segodnya.

After these words, dozens of young people stood up holding posters with “#freeAndrew” hashtags. The forum’s participants spontaneously began singing the Russian national anthem and embraced each other.

Today’s meeting of Seliger’s “Pokolenie Znany” (Knowledge Generation) session was devoted to the topic “Russia in the World,” which gathered over 800 young scientists.

Russian photographer Andrei Stenin went missing in eastern Ukraine three weeks ago. The photographer’s current whereabouts are unknown. Some sources claim Ukrainian militants have detained him, but Kiev officials have not confirmed this information. Rallies to support the missing journalist have been held in various cities in Russia, Serbia and Argentina. The influential Mexican Press Club has also expressed its support of Stenin.
