India is concerned over the fact that Hafiz Saeed, leader and founder of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) organization declared a terrorist group by the United Nations, rallied along the Line of Control and International Border in Jammu and Kashmir, Minister of State for Home Affairs said Tuesday.

NEW DELHI, August 5 (RIA Novosti) — India is concerned over the fact that Hafiz Saeed, leader and founder of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) organization declared a terrorist group by the United Nations, rallied along the Line of Control and International Border in Jammu and Kashmir, Minister of State for Home Affairs said Tuesday.

“In the recent past Hafiz Muhammad Saed, Amir Jamaat-ud-Dawa has visited a number of places along the International Boundary and Line of Control. During these visits he has addressed several rallies where he has been highly critical of India,” Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju said. “Government has repeatedly requested Pakistan to act in an expeditious and transparent manner against all those responsible for the Mumbai terrorist attack, including Hafiz Saed."

“It has also been stressed that Pakistan needs to take effective action to ban the anti-India activities of organizations such as Jamaat-ud-Dawa, Lashkar-e-Taiba and their leaders, including Hafiz Saeed, who have openly and blatantly espoused an agenda of violence and terrorism against India,” Kiren Rijiju further stated in his written reply to Indian Parliament.

Hafiz Saeed continues to move around openly across Pakistan despite a bounty of $10 million that the United States announced on his head.

The US and the UN have declared Hafiz Saeed’s Jamaat-ud-Dawa a front for the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT.)

India considers Hafiz Saed one of the most wanted terrorist due to his involvement in the Mumbai terror attack.
