MOSCOW, July 27 (RIA Novosti) – A team of 30 Dutch forensic experts headed to the MH17 crash site in eastern Ukraine, Agence France Presse reported on Sunday, citing the Dutch Justice Ministry.

According to the statement, the team was granted access to the site soon after the independence supporters and the representatives of the OSCE mission reached a corresponding agreement.

Earlier on Saturday, 40 police officers from the Netherlands, leading the investigation of the accident, arrived in Kiev to then head to the crash site.

A total of 298 people, including 193 Dutch citizens, died on July 17 as Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed in Ukraine's Donetsk region.

Ukrainian authorities claim the plane was downed by independence supporters, whereas the latter say they do not have necessary equipment to hit a target flying this high.
