MOSCOW, July 26 (RIA Novosti) – Independence supporters of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) handed over personal belongings and luggage of the Boeing 777 crash victims to the representatives of the Netherlands, Serhiy Kavtaradze, a member of the DPR Security Council said on Saturday.
“Today the carriage with personal belongings and luggage of those killed in the plane crash near the town of Torez was handed over to representatives of the Netherlands,” Kavtaradze said.
According to the official, the second group of Dutch representatives were to arrive in Donetsk later on Saturday to take over the carriage.
The Malaysia Airlines plane with 298 people on board, including 85 children, crashed on July 17 near the town of Torez in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk Region. There were no survivors. Many of the victims were Dutch and the Netherlands is carrying out their identification.
