KIEV, July 26 (RIA Novosti) – A police mission from the Netherlands, consisting of 40 people, has arrived in Kharkiv Saturday, to go to the crash site of a Malaysian Boeing afterwards, Kiev’s Channel 5 reported.

The aircraft with the police on board arrived in Kharkiv this night, afterwards they will head to the crash site of the Flight MH17. It is planned that the police will help 20 investigators from the Netherlands to seek the remains that can still be left somewhere at the crash site.

The investigation of the crash of a Malaysian aircraft is carried out by the Netherlands, but due to the intense fighting in the region, the experts cannot start their work yet. Australia offered to send a police team to ensure the safety of investigation on the spot.

Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed in eastern Ukraine on July 17 killing all 298 people on board.

Kiev authorities accuse independence supporters of downing the plane whereas local militia leaders insist they do not have the necessary technology to shoot down a target flying at an altitude of 32,000 feet.

On Monday, the UN Security Council condemned the downing of the passenger plane and unanimously voted in support of a thorough and independent international investigation of the incident.
