MOSCOW, July 10 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff will discuss issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as the international agenda during Putin’s visit to Brazil from July 13 to 16, presidential aide Yury Ushakov said.
“The preparation [for the visit] has been very intense. The talks will feature bilateral and international issues, including those relating to the coordination of our approaches in the UN, BRICS, G20, WTO and other regional associations," Ushakov said.
Additionally, a number of intergovernmental, cross-sectoral and commercial agreements have been prepared for signing, which are "designed to encourage cooperation in the fields of energy, healthcare, transport, agriculture, customs, culture and education."
"The two leaders will exchange views on how to stimulate the growth of bilateral trade and spur investment counterflows," according to a document obtained by RIA Novosti.
The last meeting between the two leaders was during the G20 summit in St. Petersburg on September 5-6. Russia and Brazil are strategic partners with diplomatic relations established in 1828. A number of organizations are already supporting the partnership, such as the Russian-Brazilian high-level commission and intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
