MOSCOW, April 16 (RIA Novosti) - Scottish independence supporters are gaining ground as more and more locals plan to vote for a sovereign Scotland, a new poll published Wednesday by TNS said.
The results indicated that the gap between the supporters and opponents of Scottish independence has tightened to 12 percentage points, lowering from 14 points a month earlier and 19 points in September, when TNS started conducting monthly surveys.
According to the latest poll, 29 percent of voters plan to support Scottish independence in the upcoming referendum, up from 28 percent a month ago, while 41 percent wanted to say "No," down from 42 percent.
Scottish independence referendum will take place on September 18.
Spanish Catalonia, home to another popular independence movement, will also be holding a referendum this fall.
