Secretary of State John Kerry says there is no nuclear deal yet with Iran, but he's hoping to narrow gaps during negotiations.

GENEVA, November 8 (Matthew Lee, The Associated Press) - Secretary of State John Kerry says there is no nuclear deal yet with Iran, but he's hoping to narrow gaps during negotiations.

Kerry is in Geneva for talks aimed at putting limits on Iran's ability to make nuclear weapons. Kerry says there important issues remain unresolved. Talks include France, Britain, Germany and the U.S. Kerry has suggested Washington wants Iran to commit to stop expanding activities that could lead to making weapons.

In return, Tehran likely will insist on relief from sanctions that have stifled its economy. Kerry says he hopes to narrow differences with Iran, but, quote, "I don't think anybody should mistake that there are some important gaps that have to be closed."
