KIEV, September 3 (RIA Novosti) - One man has been killed and another injured in an apparent grenade explosion in a Ukrainian village, local police said Tuesday.
The injured man told police that his neighbor, 59, who had been drinking, had paid him a visit late Saturday night and, as they were smoking in the yard, threw a firecracker on the ground.
“The host jumped to one side, and saw that his drunk neighbor was holding something that looked like a grenade,” the police statement said. “A few seconds later – there was an explosion.”
Relatives of the injured man, 42, called an ambulance early the following morning, and the ambulance that arrived at the scene found one man injured and one dead, the police statement said.

It is better to set free at least some of the individuals who deserve to be released than no one at all.
