MOSCOW, August 31 (RIA Novosti) – US President Barack Obama said Saturday that the US military operation in Syria will be limited to prevent Bashar Assad’s regime from using chemical weapons.
He said that the operation will be “limited in duration and scope.”
Assad’s regime will be held “accountable” for using chemical weapons against his people.
Assad’s government denies the claims, while Syrian opposition claims that some 1,300 fell victim of the Aug. 21 attack outside Damascus.
