MOSCOW, December 27 (RIA Novosti) - A 20-year-old resident of Tunisia died shortly after eating 28 raw eggs for a bet, Tunisia’s Shems FM radio station reported on Wednesday.

Dhaou Fatnassi from El Baten, a settlement near the northeastern city of Kairouan, bet with a group of his friends that he would be able to eat 30 raw eggs for an undisclosed sum of money.

“Doctors were called in after the young man felt strong stomach pains, but he died on the way,” the radio said.

The cause of his death is yet to be established.
