MOSCOW, November 18 (RIA Novosti) – At least five people were killed in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi on Sunday when a grenade was thrown into a minibus, police said.

The attack took place in the Somali-dominated Eastleigh neighbourhood. It was the latest in a number of attacks blamed on Somali militants seeking revenge for Kenya’s decision to send troops into Somalia last year.

Kenyan troops entered Somalia in a bid to drive out al-Qaeda militants it says were responsible for attacks on its territory.

The attack came the day after a grenade was thrown into a local chief's compound in the Kenyan coastal city of Ngombeni, injuring four. The attack was blamed on a separatist group.
