At least 12 people were killed in a suicide bomb attack on a minibus near the Afghan capital of Kabul on Tuesday, al Jazeera television reported.
Several of those killed were foreigners working for an international courier firm, police said.
Afghan armed group Hezb-e-Islami has claimed credit for the early-morning attack near Kabul airport, saying it was retaliation for a recent U.S.-produced film that denigrates Islam's Prophet Muhammad.
"A woman wearing a suicide vest blew herself up in response to the anti-Islam video," Hezb-e-Islami spokesman Zubair Sediqqi said.
The attack occurred when the van stopped to refuel near the airport, reports say.
The bomber was in another vehicle.
The amateur Innocence of Muslims video has triggered protests across the Muslim world, some of which have turned violent.
