KIEV, January 18 (RIA Novosti)
Members of the Ukrainian feminist group Femen bared their breasts once more on Wednesday, this time to protest India's crackdown on visas for sex workers at its embassies in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
The site of the latest mass brassiere removal was the balcony of the Indian ambassador's residence in Kiev.
They came to protest Delhi's instructions that the embassies carefully examine visa applications from local women who are 15-40 years of age in a bid to curb the inflow of sex workers.
Despite the winter nip, the four topless protesters held up banners saying “I am not a prostitute,” “Ukraine is not a brothel” and “Delhi, close your brothels.”
“The problem of prostitution in India is not dependent on women from Ukraine, Russia or Kazakhstan. It is directly linked with criminal impunity for the pimping business within India itself,” a release distributed by the movement said.
The Indian Foreign Ministry's instructions humiliate and insult all women, Femen said.
Police arrived at the ambassador's residence shortly after the action began and detained the activists as they descended from the balcony.
Femen has staged topless protests in Kiev and beyond, in all weather.

The British experience can be instructive for Russia. London retains its British Commonwealth if it wants to use this as a foundation for integration in the future. That’s a valuable lesson for Russian experts who are calling for an end to “ineffective” associations like the CIS, the Russian World and others.
