WARSAW, August 17 (RIA Novosti)
One of Poland's largest rail carriers, Przewozy Regionalne, went on a 24-hour strike on Wednesday.
The train operator's trade unions are demanding wage increases and changes in the labor management scheme. Should their demands not be fulfilled, another strike could occur on August 24.
A total of 2,700 trains will be idle in Poland during the strike, which will last until Thursday morning.
