Russian and Serbian government officials will gather in Moscow on Thursday to discuss lower gas prices for Serbia, the Tanjug news agency said.

The Russian-Serbian inter-governmental commission for trade, economic and scientific cooperation, co-chaired by Russian Emergencies Minister Sergei Shoigu and Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister Ivica Dacic will gather for the ninth session on Thursday.

The meeting would focus on "the price of Russian gas for Serbia, in other words, about the possibility of discount," Dacic was quoted as saying by Tanjug.

He also said the sides would discuss "the extension of the free trade agreement and continue discussions on a Russian loan for Serbian railways."

Russsia has earlier agreed to grant Serbia a $200-million loan to cover budget deficit.
