Ukrainian opposition MPs on Friday blocked the parliamentary dais in protest against the government's plans to raise housing and utility fees and increase the pension age.
Several dozen members of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc-Batkivshchyna faction also blocked the doors, preventing the speaker from starting the session.
Faction whip Ivan Kyrylenko said they would "stand firm to the end."
The government is planning to raise household gas prices 50% and increase the pension age for women from 55 to 60 and subsequently to 65 for all citizens.
These are the conditions the IMF set on opening a $15.15 billion credit line for Ukraine.
