Ukraine may benefit from the possible representation of its interests by Russia at the G8 and the G20, the Ukrainian foreign minister said on Friday.
"Cooperation with the Russian Federation in the context of representation...at the G8 and the G20 corresponds to our interests," Kostyantyn Hryshchenko told the Ukrainian parliament.
Supporting stable growth in the country is the major goal for Ukrainian home and foreign policies, Hryshchenko added.
During his recent visit to Ukraine, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev expressed readiness to put forward a joint Russian-Ukrainian approach to reforming the global financial system at the G8 and the G20 summits to be held in June.
