MOSCOW, October 2 (RIA Novosti) - Serbia's foreign minister will arrive in Moscow on Sunday for a three-day official visit to Moscow, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko said on Friday.
"During talks between [Russian Foreign Minister] Sergei Lavrov and Vuk Jeremic it is planned to discuss the whole complex of Russian-Serbian cooperation, as well as issues on bilateral activities in the international arena," Nesterenko said.
He said one of the main tasks of Jeremic's visit was to prepare for President Dmitry Medvedev's visit to Belgrade on October 20 to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the city's liberation from Nazi occupation by the Soviet Union's Red Army and the national People's Liberation Army.
Nesterenko added that settling the issue of Kosovo in accordance with international law was one of the key activities of Russia and Serbia in foreign affairs.
Kosovo unilaterally declared its independence from Serbia on February 17, 2008. So far 61 countries have recognized Kosovo as a sovereign state since it proclaimed independence from Serbia in February 2008. Russia and Serbia continue to consider Kosovo as a part of Serbia.
