BEIJING, October 31 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian and Chinese prime ministers are expected to sign an agreement November 3 on medical aid for the children who survived the September 2004 school siege in the Russian city of Beslan.

A member of the Russian delegation currently in Beijing in preparation for the meeting said the premiers would also sign an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of disaster relief medicine. Russia and China are coordinating joint efforts to deal with natural disasters, preventive measures against infectious diseases, and medical aid for border areas.

The two countries intend to streamline procedures for obtaining licenses to practice traditional Chinese medicine in Russia and certificates for Chinese medicine, and to increase communication between their medical research centers and clinics.

A Chinese pharmaceuticals exhibition and a bilateral forum on traditional Chinese medicine will be held in Russia in the second quarter of 2006.
