Russian schoolgirl breaks world powerlifting record

Russia’s Maryana Naumova has been recognized the overall winner at the World Powerlifting Championship in Riga. The 12-year-old girl became the first both among teenagers aged 13-15 and women weighing less than 52 kg. She consistently set four world records by lifting weights of 67.5, 70, 72.5, and 75 kg.
A student of a lyceum in Khimki, in the Moscow region, she is international master of sports and winner of a number of major national and international championships.
