Vladimir Putin looks after snow leopard Mongol

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin stopped in Khakassia on his way to Sakhalin to discuss with researchers the prospects for a snow leopard rehabilitation center in South Siberia. Khakassia is a natural home for snow leopards. One of the predators named Mongol was captured in the region a week prior to the prime minister’s visit. Zoologists caught the animal under the Program for the Study and Monitoring of the Snow Leopard Population in South Siberia.
