African lion cubs born in freezing Novosibirsk
14:10 GMT 13.01.2011 (Updated: 19:53 GMT 19.10.2022) Two African lion cubs were born into temperatures well below freezing at Novosibirsk Zoo. Their mother lives in an open-air enclosure so the cubs were separated from her and placed in a heated room. Zoo workers feed the cubs using regular baby bottles. Seeing a visitor, the newborn cubs rear up clumsily and try to get out of their small wooden box so they can be held.
