The first production version of the new commercial airliner, the Sukhoi Superjet 100, made a three-hour debut flight on November 4. It was piloted by a Sukhoi Civil Aircraft test crew, who tested every system and all the equipment on the plane.The Superjet 100 will soon be flown from the Komsomolsk-on-Amur airfield in the Russian Far East to Moscow, where it will be tested as if on a typical commercial flight.Sukhoi is currently working on 17 SSJ100 planes; five of them are already in the assembly shop.The first planes are to be supplied to Armenian airlines Armavia and Russian carrier Aeroflot in late 2010. Aeroflot will receive 30 SSJ100s, which are to replace the obsolete Tu-134s on all Russian airlines.
