Russian President Dmitry Medvedev took Vice President of the PRC Xi Jinping around the Russian Pavilion at EXPO 2010 on Tuesday, celebrated as Russia Day at the world exhibition currently running in Shanghai.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev took Vice President of the PRC Xi Jinping  around the Russian Pavilion at EXPO 2010 on Tuesday, celebrated as Russia Day at the world exhibition currently running in Shanghai. 

Medvedev showed the senior Chinese official  the best of Russia’s latest innovations, including nanotechnology. Anatoly Chubais, the curator of the Rosnano corporation’s displays, presented the VIP guests with a photo printed on a piece of glass with the help of groundbreaking printer technology. The Russian-designed device, which can print on glass as well as other surfaces, has generated a lot of interest even in such technologically advanced countries  s South Korea and Japan, Chubais said.

The dignitaries then proceeded to the area devoted to the 2014 Winter Olympics in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi. Here, they saw 3D models of ski slopes prepared for the Winter Olympics
The EXPO 2010 Russian Pavilion will be open through the end of October. More than six million people have visited it so far.
