Three little bears and their Udmurt zoo family
Sputnik International
Three brown bear cubs, orphaned during a cold winter, are growing up at the Udmurt State Zoo. On finding the wild cubs, zoo-workers took them to the zoo, where they were given round the clock care, were fed baby food every four hours, had their bedding changed and were lulled to sleep. The cubs were even given human names: Roma, Varya and Sveta.
Their enclosure is one of the most frequented sights in the zoo. Children and adults alike enjoy watching them frolic. The cubs don’t mind all that attention, quite the reverse. They rush to the bars whenever a visitor approaches. The little beasts hate to be alone, and for that reason particularly dislike Mondays, when the zoo is closed.
