The entire Kyrgyz military, including the National Security Service and the Ministry of the Interior, have sided with the republic’s interim government headed by former Foreign Affairs Minister Roza Otunbayeva.Earlier, Kyrgyzstan’s cabinet of ministers resigned under the pressure of the opposition, and the government of national confidence was formed; the Government Central Committee took executive power. According to Roza Otunbayeva, the interim government will function for half a year, until the Kyrgyz Constitution is amended. There are plans to amend the electoral code, the laws on political parties, rallies and demonstrations.
