Eleven contenders willing to be locked in the ground-based experimental complex for 520 days, are going through the final selection stage. By the end of March it will become clear who exactly will be going on board, as the Mars-500 ‘spaceship’ can seat only six passengers. The crew will be made up of researchers and engineers experienced in working with life support equipment. Doctors and psychologists are currently assessing the candidates.
