Russia beat the Czech Republic 2-1 in the final game of Katjobet Hockey Games Sunday and finished the 2012-2013 Euro Hockey Tour season in first place.

BRNO, April 28 (R-Sport) – Russia beat the Czech Republic 2-1 in the final game of Katjobet Hockey Games Sunday and finished the 2012-2013 Euro Hockey Tour season in first place.

Yegor Averin and Kirill Petrov scored for Russia while Konstantin Barulin made 22 saves.

Russia won one tournament – the Channel One Cup – in the four-tournament Euro Hockey Tour, but finished the season atop the leader board with eight wins and four losses. The Czechs came second followed by Finland and Sweden, who won the Katjobet Games.

Ivan Rachunek scored the lone goal for the Czechs on Sunday.
