MOSCOW, April 5 (R-Sport) – Magomed Abdusalamov has risen five places to fourth in the WBC rankings after defending his WBC United States heavyweight title against Victor Bisbal.

The 32-year-old Russian saw off the Puerto Rican in a fifth-round technical knockout in Atlantic City last month, his longest bout as a professional. Abdusalamov knocked out all 16 of his other opponents even quicker.

In the new rankings published Friday, Abdusalamov displaced Tyson Fury from the WBC's No. 4 spot. The list is headed by U.S. boxer Chris Arreola, Canada’s Bermane Stiverne and Jonathon Banks, with Vitali Klitschko outside the rankings as the current champion.

Magomed ‘Mago’ Abdusalamov hails from the Russian region of Dagestan but lives in Oxnard, California.

His next title defense is on April 27 in Buenos Aires against local boxer Sebastian Ceballos.
