SOCHI, November 13 (R-Sport) - More than 100,000 tickets are to go on sale for test events in the 2014 Winter Olympic host city of Sochi, the city government said Tuesday.
Sochi will host 60 test events this winter, including the Grand Prix finals of figure skating and rounds of the skiing and snowboard World Cups, as it prepares to put on Russia's first Winter Olympics.
Most of the events will be either closed to the public or free to enter, with tickets only going on sale for the skating Grand Prix finals in December, the biathlon World Cup in March and the under-18 ice hockey world championships in April.
Of the total tickets on sale, around 73,000 will be distributed through the Olympic organizing committee and another 33,000 via local government, the city administration said.
