MOSCOW, November 11 (R-Sport) - Rubin Kazan beat 2-0 Krylya Sovetov at home Sunday to rise to fifth in the Russian Premier League.

The victory was Rubin's third straight league win and came despite the team having traveled to Azerbaijan to beat Neftci Baku 1-0 in the Europa League on Thursday, while Krylya's winless run extended to seven games.

Krylya remain 12th, three points above the relegation zone.

On six minutes, Rubin captain Roman Sharonov opened the score with a diving header off Bibras Natkho’s cross.

Late on, Natkho secured the win with his fifth goal from the penalty spot this season after Krylya's Alexei Kontsedalov handled the ball inside the box.

In stoppage time, Rubin Kazan defender Oleg Kuzmin was for a second bookable offence after a bad tackle on Viktor Svezhov.
