MOSCOW, October 26 (RIA Novosti)
Second seed Juan Martin del Potro came back from a set down Friday to beat Kevin Anderson in the quarterfinals of the Swiss Indoors in Basel.
The Argentinian world No. 8, who qualified for the World Tour Finals after Rafael Nadal’s injury-related withdrawal Thursday, struggled to a 3-6, 7-6(3), 6-2 win over South Africa’s Anderson on the hard court in Basel.
Del Potro set up a meeting with third seed Richard Gasquet in the semifinal after the Frenchman downed Russian No. 1 Mikhail Youzhny 6-2, 7-6(5) in their quarterfinal earlier on Friday.
Del Potro has beaten Gasquet in both of their encounters this season.
The prize fund for the tournament is €1.4 million.

Military exercises are held in order to prevent a war rather than prepare for one. If a potential enemy knows and sees that the Russian Army is constantly improving its skills and adopting state-of-the-art combat equipment and combat support systems he will hardly risk aggression against these Armed Forces and the country they defend.
