MOSCOW, October 8 (RIA Novosti)
CSKA Moscow winger Ahmed Musa showed his best form so far for CSKA Moscow as he scored one goal and set up another in Sunday's 2-0 win over rivals Spartak, Musa's teammate Sergei Ignashevich has said.
Musa opened the scoring in Sunday’s Moscow derby off Keisuke Honda's assist on 15 minutes, the fourth goal in six games for the pacy Nigerian, who has been playing as a makeshift striker due to an injury to first-choice forward Seydou Doumbia.
Musa followed up his goal with an assist in the second half when he set up Honda.
“Musa, in my opinion, had his best game for CSKA,” Ignashevich said on his personal website Sunday, comparing Musa to CSKA fan favorites Doumbia and Brazilian striker Vagner Love, now at Flamengo.
“For the first goal he was like Doumbia, and for the second he was like Vagner,” Ignashevich added.
Musa joined CSKA in January from Dutch side Venlo and has since scored five times in 23 league appearances, setting up a further four goals.
