MOSCOW, September 25 (RIA Novosti)
Vuelta champion Alberto Contador will round off his season at Saturday's Giro Di Lombardia, the Spaniard's spokesman told portal cyclingnews.com on Tuesday.
The one-day race, held since 1904 and nicknamed "the classic of the falling leaves," will be held between the Italian cities of Bergamo and Lecco, the last race of Contador's year, his spokesman Jacinto Vidarte was quote as saying.
The Saxo Bank-Tinkoff Bank rider started the season in August after serving a two-year doping ban, and won the prestigious Vuelta a Espana earlier this month.
He is one of the five riders who have won all three Grand Tours events, which also include the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France.
