MOSCOW, September 21 (RIA Novosti)
Dynamo Moscow fans are going to the club’s training base Friday to voice their protest against the team’s poor results, the president of the All-Russian Fan Organization Alexander Shprygin told R-Sport.
The 11-time champions sit at the bottom of the Russian Premier League table with just one victory after eight matches, marking the worst league start in their history.
The Moscow-based side was also eliminated from the Europa Cup after losing 3-1 on aggregate to VFB Stuttgart in their playoff round tie.
"A big group of Dynamo supporters is expected in Novogorsk today,” Shprygin said. “After I learned about the events of the last night, I would probably go to Novogorsk too."
Several fans came to the gates of the base Thursday night to chant, firing flares and scrawl graffiti on the street urging the players to cease dishonoring Dynamo’s name.
They also threw around a bunch of flyers with offensive content and implicit threats.
"If the club and the coaches can't motivate you, then believe us, we will do it," one of the flyers read. "We are the supporters and the fans. And our methods will be a little more serious."
Dynamo play mid-table Amkar Perm at home on Saturday.
