World No. 7 Sam Stosur and former French Open champion Ana Ivanovic are to headline the Kremlin Cup in Moscow next month, after the WTA and the ATP announced the players taking part Thursday.
Besides Stosur, this year's French Open finalist Sara Errani of Italy, world No. 11 Marion Bartoli will feature in the women's tournament.
A strong home contingent boasting 12th-ranked Maria Kirilenko, 20th-ranked Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and world No. 22 Nadia Petrova will give the Russian fans someone to cheer for.
In the men’s tournament, Alexander Dolgopolov of Ukraine, currently 15th in the world, is the highest-ranked player, followed by world No. 27 Andreas Seppi and Serbia’s 30th-ranked Victor Troicki.
Russian players include former top-ten player Nikolay Davydenko and Alexander Bogomolov, Russia's No. 3.
The tournament will take place from October 13 to 21 in Moscow's Olimpiisky arena.
