KHL champion Dynamo Moscow beat city rival CSKA 5-3 on Saturday to win the annual Moscow Mayor’s Cup.

The four-day tournament is a warm-up for the KHL regular season, which starts September 4.

Dynamo's final victory Saturday came after earlier defeats of Spartak 4-2, and Vityaz 3-2.

Dynamo forged ahead from the very start after their diminutive forward Mikhail Anisin converted a perfect pass by Marek Kvapil on four minutes, and left winger Sergei Konkov doubled the lead at the end of the first period.

A Kvapil goal on a powerplay was followed by Konkov's second of the afternoon for a 4-0 lead.

CSKA mounted a comeback to score twice in just three minutes with ex-New York Islander Oleg Kvasha and former New Jersey Devil Vladimir Zharkov registering on the score sheet.

In the third period, Dynamo youngster Nikita Lukin and CSKA forward Sergei Barbashev both netted to make the final score 5-3.

Star forward Alexander Radulov, who joined CSKA from the Nashville Predators in July, was the top scorer of the tournament, notching up four points.

It was the fifth edition of the Moscow Mayor's Cup, with Dynamo winning in 2008, Spartak in 2009 and CSKA grabbing consecutive trophies in 2010 and 2011.
